We are excited to welcome Dr. Dean as our keynote speaker for the 2026 NATI Conference!
A nationally certified signed language interpreter with more than 35 years of experience, Dr. Dean specializes in healthcare interpreting, ethics, and interpreter decision-making. Her internationally recognized scholarship includes more than 20 publications that explore the theoretical and educational foundations of community interpreting. She currently serves as an Associate Professor at the Rochester Institute of Technology, where she leads the postgraduate program in healthcare interpretation.
During the conference, Dr. Dean will share her expertise through the following sessions:
